I am originally from Comitan de Dominguez, Chiapas, Mexico. My professional training is in Agronomy, I have a Master's degree in forestry in the line of fire ecology. I am currently studying the second year of the PhD in Sciences in Ecology and Sustainable Development in El Colegio de la Frontera Sur, San Cristobal de las Casas Unit, Chiapas. 2017-2020. The objective of the research is to understand the perceptions from the anthropology about the use and management of fire in the Lagunas de Montebello National Park. At the same time, determine the frequency of fires in the past and how the ecological stability of the ecosystem has been maintained; adaptations to fire of its components and the influence of climate variability on its behavior, all this will allow us to understand the role of fire in socio-natural processes.
