Validation and Evaluation Outcome (D6.2)

Por Pau Costa Foundation el

This report reflects the work carried out in the frame of WP 6/Task 6.2 related to the validation and technical evaluation of the integrated PHAROS system. The main objectives  of the task can be summarised as follows:

  • Prepare the validation and evaluation plan to assess the suitability and technical feasibility of the different modules as well as the integrated PHAROS system, including performance criteria for evaluating software, hardware and communication interfaces.
  • Perform validation and evaluation of the system according to the different defined criteria.
  • Provide recommendations for specific elements for enhancement or improvement to meet the specified validation and evaluation benchmarks.

The tests related to the integration of the system, on which this evaluation is based, have been documented in D6.1:”System Integration and Testing Results” [1], while the outcome of the tests related to each particular module, intended to validate the corresponding technical requirements are documented in the implementation reports associated to WP 3 [2], [3], [4], [5], WP 4 [6], [7] and WP 5 [8]. The success criteria used for the technical validation of each test has been documented in the corresponding test description.

This document uses the tests documented in the mentioned deliverables (at module and system level) to argument and demonstrate that the PHAROS system fulfils the requirements specified in D2.6:”PHAROS Requirements and System Engineering” [9] from a technical point of view. It analyses whether the system is ready for pre-operational use and also looks at the potential ways to improve it to turn it into an operational system that can be rolled-out and commercialised. It provides a list of recommendations that could be implemented to provide the system with the features of the defined target system.
