This is the 7th GEO-SAFE workshop and the only GEO-SAFE workshop to be held in United Kingdom. This workshop will present the evacuation models developed and human behaviour analysis that has been performed in the GEO-SAFE project. The Workshop is organized within the Work Package WP2 of the European Project GEO-SAFE (H2020-MSCA-RISE project n. 691161). The key features of this workshop are:

  • One day at UoG
  • Main themes are:
    • Role, requirements and capabilities of evacuation modelling in the panning and management of wildfires.
    • Identification and calibration of human behaviour in response to wildfire.
    • DEvelopment and application of Large Scale Wildfire Evacuation Models
    • Embed evacuation simulation environment into a training environment.
    • Future directions for wildfire evacuation modelling.
  • Consist of:
    • 7 lectures
    • 3 discussion panels
    • 1 hands on session using webEXODUS
    • 1 demonstration session showing recent developments in coupling wildfire, pedestrian an vehicle models.
