Forest Fires in Europe - 2008

At the time (July 2009) of drafting the present EFFIS report on the forest fires in Europe occurred in 2008, our forests are burning and citizen again became victims of disastrous fire events. The European Commission expresses its sincere condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to those who have to suffer from personal damage caused by the fires.
